You can apply custom payload data to the following channel types: SS/PBCH, DL-SCH, DCI and UCI, UL-SCH. Select either Custom Pattern or User File from the Payload Data Type menu.
allows you to create, load, and save custom payload data directly in the software's editing field.
allows you to apply an existing custom payload data text file.
The list below describes some of the common behaviors and couplings associated with custom payload data.
Custom payload data settings are both readable and settable when Payload Data Type setting is set to a Custom Pattern and payload settings are in an enabled state.
Supported formats of custom payload data are binary text type strings with a 0 and 1 character and a hex text type string that starts with character X and is followed with 0-9 and a-f characters. For example, X0ab23.
If an incorrect format and empty string is entered, error -232 "Invalid format; Invalid custom payload data format" will be displayed.
The maximum length for custom payload data is 128 KB. If the entered value length is greater, then error +690 "5GNR error ; Custom payload data with length greater than 128k bytes is not supported" will be displayed.
Payload user file settings are both readable and settable when Payload Data Type set to User File and payload settings are in an enabled state.
Content of the user file follows the same rules as all custom payload data.
If the file format is not correct and the user file is empty, then error -232 "Invalid format; invalid user file format" will be displayed.
The maximum length of a user file should not be greater than 128 KB, otherwise error +690 "5GNR error ; Custom payload data with length greater than 128k bytes is not supported" is displayed.
Before generating a waveform, error checking will be executed again, if any error occurs, then waveform generation will not be completed.
